Driveways Have Never Ranked Highly As An

Not to mention boosting the value of our property and reducing the number of cars parking on-street and clogging up the roads. True, they come in all sorts of sizes and guises - tarmac and cobblestone, paved and raised to name a few variations - and are adorned with various weeds, oil stains and manholes. Empty driveways are a waste of space and aesthetically displeasing ones at that.Driveways have never ranked highly as an object of our affections. In fact, such is the extent to which some of us dislike our private patches of concrete - especially those of us who don't drive - that we turn them into conservatories and front gardens and build extensions to our houses on them. Residents with driveways going spare in prime locations like near a sports stadium, hospital or major public transport hub can make a tidy sum - as much as £5,500 a year in some places - by letting them out as a parking space.Hats off to driveways!. But there's no getting away from the fact that a driveway is, well, a driveway. It is now possible for homeowners with empty or underused driveways and garages to rent them out to drivers needing somewhere to park.To most of us, they are simply the spaces outside our front door where we park our cars and leave our wheelie bins. Not only can our driveways earn us a bit of easy extra cash whilst we're out at work, but they also make it look like someone's home and give us the peace of mind of added security.Or are they? Could it be that driveways have a little bit more to offer than we give them credit for and do they therefore deserve a bit more appreciation and respect.
